GTA Max

Over the weekend I managed to finish two video games. Grand Theft Auto V is the best in the series so far and the first that I've actually finished, which probably says something both about the change in the game itself and my attitude towards video games in general. It's difficult that my main criticism would be the repetitive missions, but I have no interest whatsoever in doing anything but driving and shooting. Although I racked up around 30 hours of gameplay and I'm usually satisfied with half that, so lose the yoga etc and it could be perfect.

Max Payne 3 on the other hand is around 15 hours long. I bought it some time ago and played through the first half over a few weeks, but ended up playing the second half in just one day. As a result I started off indulging in every detail of each chapter, but ended up bursting through room after room as quickly as possible, and all framed by an incredible score. Quite a unique experience. In fact, it's the music by HEALTH that goes a long way into making this game more than just another third-person shooter.
