This old thing

I suppose today was destined to feel odd after last night. It was fun but ended around 6am. My house > Matt's house > Amersham hospital > Beaconsfield train station > Matt's house. Where me and Matt then set out on a bike ride, higher and further. We wanted to watch the sun rise so we headed to a nearby field. There I was, speeding down a hill, legs soaking from the crops, feeling five years old, until I looked down and realised my wheels had double in size with mud.

We pushed our bikes back up the hill and after much scraping, we trailed to another field. This one was perfect, dry and quiet. You could see trees blowing around and smoking chimneys in the distance. I picked a daisy and thought about everything in a new way. After a nice while we headed back, stopping at a secret pond, where the water was truly hypnotising. Eventually we did get back, but I had to hose down the bike as it was too muddy for my car! I had two buttered bread crusts, an ice lolly, a glass of milk and said my goodbyes.

Sleep was welcome, my legs were aching. I switched off my phone and slept through 'til 3pm. After a shower and a bowl of Weetabix and Rice Krispies, I decided to properly clean my bike. When whilst I was scrubbing away, I realised how easy removing all the Raleigh stickers would be. An hour later and the pink tie-dyesque frame has never looked so nice!

I just found out Josh is getting back in a matter of minutes, I got a DDD for my art diploma and people are hanging out at the Rye waterfall right now.

Pinch me.
