Home and Away

For the last 10 days I've been on tour with Enjoy Destroy - a really nice rock 'n roll band. It was a blast and I've got some nice photos and Carling Academy passes to prove it. Today is my one day off before we go into the studio in Devon for another 10 days. I'm really happy at the moment, I suppose it's a combination of things working out nicely:

+ tour was fun and I met new friends
+ things are lovely with Charlie
+ the new Hw stuff arrived
+ college work is getting done gradually
+ I've found a new love for Oreos
+ I can't wait to record six new songs with my band for a release I'm going to be genuinely proud of
+ I just got to watch my good friends play to a sold out Astoria
+ I've won some auctions on eBay
+ I bought some new jeans after wearing the same pair everyday for almost two years
+ I've totally nailed kickflips on a fingerboard
+ I got given some free Atticus stuff, which was obviously down to Tom and Mark and I heard a rumour about Blink getting back together

Although busy, time away gives you a lot of time to think about home as well. I think about my old friends a lot. Friends I still have but aren't really close with anymore, and then how friends I am close with now will probably drift from me in the next year or so. I think there's something nice about drifting from friends, just considering the chance you could meet again in the future and catch up on all the years you've missed apart. So here's a proposition, if we've drifted or do drift please make a promise to yourself and me that you will try to locate me in the future and I will do the same.
